When it comes to fines and Salik charges in the UAE, the process is simple and transparent. Traffic fines can be checked through Dubai Police using the vehicle’s plate number and code.
and any fines that appear must be settled on the same day they are issued.
Please note that Dubai Police automatically adds an additional AED 20 processing fee to every fine, which is part of their official system.
As for Salik (toll gates), the charges are applied automatically whenever a vehicle passes through a toll gate.
During peak hours, each gate is charged AED 6, while during off-peak hours, the charge is AED 5, plus 5% VAT.
All Salik usage is calculated at the end of the rental period and added to the final bill to ensure accurate and transparent billing.
